MD Logic, the leader in high performance EHR solutions, has been busy testing our new DICOM storage app scheduled for early deployment starting in December 2014. The software development of our DICOM app will give our customers the option to store CDs brought in by their patients.

At the September 2014 gathering of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (AAO-HNS) conference held in Orlando, Florida MD Logic successfully introduced our latest smart phone apps to ENT physicians both in the U.S. and internationally.

Whether your specialty is Primary Care, ENT, Orthopaedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, General Surgery, Cardiology or any other sub-specialty, physicians have a limited amount of time each day to see their patients.  With the huge increase in the adoption of EHR technology over the past 5 years, many physicians are finding themselves trapped with a bad EHR that has reduced the number of patients they can see during clinic each day.

With only a limited number of EHR vendors having successfully passed Meaningful Use Stage II testing and earned Stage II certification, the CMS final rule issued on August 29th will have significant implications for almost 80% of the EHR systems on the market. The reporting period for 2015 will be a full 365 days, commencing on January 1, 2015.

With the adoption for EHR technology at a record high for 2014, most people would assume that having patients complete paper forms in the waiting room would cast healthcare back into the 1970s. Unfortunately for the vast majority of physicians and their patients the reality of the clinic handing the patient paper forms to complete before being seen is a huge reality.

Recent surveys amongst healthcare providers confirm that the majority of healthcare providers are not satisfied with their electronic health records software. Healthcare providers complain of complex EHR solutions that take more time to input the data then time they are allowed to treat patients. With billions of dollars paid to healthcare providers for adopting EHR technology, the goal of increasing the number of doctors with EHR technology has worked but at a huge cost in efficiency.

MD Logic was pleased to officially introduce our smart phone apps at the recent MD Logic EHR User Conference. The new MD Logic smart phone apps have been designed to make navigating and accessing patient health data both fast and efficient.

MD Logic customers from across the U.S. traveled to Atlanta to last week to attend the annual MD Logic EHR User Conference. The focus of the conference was the introduction and roll out of the ONC 2014 Certified EHR software. Over 20 specialties of medicine were represented during the user conference with Physicians, PAs, NPs, administrators, IT and clinical staff.
