To counter these reductions, physicians must see more patients in the same amount of time. Unfortunately for most physicians, the healthcare market is littered with cumbersome non-productive EHRs that simply slow down physicians and staff while killing productivity.

Not All EHRs are Built the Same

Since the federal government decided to blow billions on big money giveaway’s to doctors that implemented EHR technology, the EHR market has become nothing more than a hindrance to most doctors and their staff. The EHR certification seal has given doctors a false sense of security when investing in an EHR. Just because an EHR can generate a report or pass a test does not mean it will be productive for a practice.

Insurance Chart Audits - Best Protection?

Are your healthcare providers still using charge tickets to check-off the charges and diagnosis for each patient visit? If so your practice has what we call “exposure”. The only way to eliminate exposure is to have the documentation generated by the EHR software drive the patient charges.

Practice Building and Better Patient Care

Believe it or not, patients like to hear from their healthcare providers. Only 8 percent of doctor visits make up annual checkups. The average visit takes around 23 minutes which means the doctors in the U.S. spend approximately 17 million hours each year on annual check-ups. Ensuring your patients are contacted for annual checkups can be a full time job for most clinics and an added expense.

Bar Coding – A Must have Technology at the Front Desk

In healthcare patients are still handed forms to be filled-out and signed each day. A common form that requires the most time is typically the patient demographic (name, address, contact information, insurance information, etc.) form. Even with today’s latest technology, the vast majority of clinics find handing the patient a paper demographic form to handwrite the required information the easiest way to manage collecting this data.
