MD Logic customers from across the U.S. traveled to Atlanta to last week to attend the annual MD Logic EHR User Conference. The focus of the conference was the introduction and roll out of the ONC 2014 Certified EHR software. Over 20 specialties of medicine were represented during the user conference with Physicians, PAs, NPs, administrators, IT and clinical staff.
Thomas J. Bierster, Jr., CEO for MD Logic, commented “the two day user conference provided the much needed time to walk our customers through step-by-step examples, multiple implementation options as well as recommendations needed to deal with ONC 2014 requirements. The conference provided breakout sessions and gave our customers the knowledge they need to ensure success with ONC 2014. Prior to attending the user conference, customers completed online surveys on their thoughts and general knowledge in regards to ONC 2014. After the conference the same group of customers was surveyed to determine their feedback on ONC 2014. Over 90% of our customers reported that they were “very surprised” or actually “shocked” at the level of complexity and amount of data required to meet ONC 2014.
“During the different breakout sessions you could hear providers comment on the new ONC 2014 requirements and how they felt the new requirements were simply unnecessary and have nothing to do with the quality of patient care. The best part of these breakout sessions was when an MD Logic Corporate trainer would demonstrate just how simple the MD Logic EHR software had been developed to handle each requirement. Once the customers realized that MD Logic had taken on the task of simplifying ONC 2014, customers became reassured about the great decision that they had made by investing in the MD Logic EHR software.”
The MD Logic EHR user conference introduced both ICD-10 and Snowmed codes to MD Logic customers. Even though the release of ICD-10 has been delayed, MD Logic is ready and has moved forward with the release of our ICD-10 software module to allow our customers the time to prepare and transition to the new ICD-10 codes in 2015. The two day user conference proved to be a huge success in educating our national base of customers as they prepare to implement ONC 2014. Our support team has initiated plans to roll out our ONC 2014 Certified EHR software to both our server based and cloud based customers throughout the U.S.
