First and 10

After an extended development journey, MD Logic Is nearing the goal line with Its Next-Generation EHR Software. At MD Logic, we are excited to share an update on the development of our next-generation MD Logic EHR software. To put our progress in football terms, we are at first and 10, with the end zone in sight! The journey to this point has taken considerably longer than originally anticipated. In fact, the development and release of our next-generation EHR software have taken approximately twice as long as initially forecasted. However, there is a very good reason for the additional time, and we believe our clients will agree that the results will be well worth the wait.

Why Has Development Taken Longer Than Expected?

Throughout the development process, MD Logic has invited select physician practices to participate in pre-release testing of our next-generation EHR software. These practices have had the opportunity to work with the new software in real-world clinical environments, providing valuable feedback based on their daily workflows. What we discovered was something truly exciting.

Our participating physicians and medical staff offered creative ideas, intuitive suggestions, and innovative workflow enhancements that we felt were simply too valuable to leave out of the initial release. Rather than moving forward with a software release that met only our original development objectives, we made the deliberate decision to pause the release, return to engineering, and incorporate many of these client-inspired enhancements directly into the new EHR platform. These enhancements included integrated telehealth, our new Ai feature, SMS On-Demand and so much more. This process occurred multiple times. Each round of pre-release testing generated additional ideas that challenged our development team to rethink traditional EHR workflows and find even better ways for healthcare providers to navigate, document, and manage patient care. While these decisions extended our development timeline, we believe they have also significantly elevated the quality, functionality, and overall user experience of the software we are preparing to deliver.

Our Goal: Set a New Standard for EHR Navigation and Productivity

From the beginning, MD Logic has focused on developing EHR software that allows healthcare providers to spend less time navigating software and more time caring for patients. Our next-generation MD Logic EHR takes that commitment to an entirely new level. We have focused heavily on creating an intuitive, streamlined user experience that minimizes unnecessary navigation, reduces repetitive steps, and makes the information physicians need readily accessible. Our objective is ambitious but straightforward: to deliver what we believe will be the most efficient and intuitive EHR navigation experiences in the healthcare technology industry. By combining more than 30 years of EHR development experience with direct feedback from the physicians and medical professionals who use our technology, we believe we are creating something truly special.

Building on More Than 30 Years of Innovation

Since introducing the first touchscreen EHR software in 1995, MD Logic has remained committed to developing technology specifically for independent physician practices. Our current MD Logic EHR software continues to support thousands of healthcare providers in their daily clinical operations. The next-generation platform builds upon the comprehensive functionality our clients already rely on while introducing a modern web-based experience, enhanced navigation, improved clinical workflows, and exciting new capabilities. Integrated with the next generation MD Logic EHR software is the MD Logic Practice Management and Appointment Scheduling software. Importantly, our engineering team has designed the next-generation platform to operate alongside our existing EHR software using the same underlying patient database. This has allowed participating practices to experience the new software while continuing to use the familiar MD Logic EHR platform. Although developing this dual-platform capability added considerable complexity to the project, it was an important investment in providing a more practical transition for our clients.

The Best Part for Our Clients? The Upgrade Is Included!

Perhaps one of the most exciting aspects of this announcement is what it means financially for our existing MD Logic EHR Cloud clients. The next-generation MD Logic EHR software is included as part of the software upgrades provided to our MD Logic EHR Cloud clients, at no additional software upgrade charge. That means our existing EHR Cloud clients will benefit from the years of engineering, innovation, and significant financial investment MD Logic has made in developing this new platform without having to purchase an entirely new EHR software license. We believe our clients should continue to benefit from the advancements we make in our technology. Our commitment has always been to build long-term relationships with independent physician practices by delivering innovative software, dependable service, and exceptional value. A completely reengineered EHR experience, designed for greater productivity and efficiency, included with your MD Logic EHR Cloud software upgrades. That is a benefit we are especially proud to deliver.

The End Zone Is Getting Closer

Returning to our football analogy, we have moved the ball down the field through several years of design, engineering, testing, refinement, and innovation. Along the way, we have called a few audibles, adjusted our game plan, and taken the time to make sure we are putting our best team and technology on the field. Today, we are first and 10, with the end zone in sight. We recognize that our clients have been patiently awaiting this release, and we sincerely appreciate their continued confidence in MD Logic. We are confident that when our clients experience the next-generation MD Logic EHR software, they will understand why we chose to invest the additional development time rather than rush a product to market. Our goal has never been simply to release another version of EHR software. Our goal is to redefine how efficiently physicians and medical staff interact with their EHR throughout the patient care process. And when we finally cross that goal line, we believe the additional time, creativity, and engineering investment will have been worth every minute.
