In healthcare communicating with patients and ensuring that patient’s return for follow up visits has become a full time job for most clinics. The liability of missed appointments in many cases falls on the responsibility of each clinic. A simple missed appointment may go unscheduled for a patient for an indefinite amount of time. For some patients with chronic health conditions the failure to comply with follow up appointments may lead to increased health risks and morbidity. Clinics require new tools to make monitoring patient health simple and effective.
MD Logic, the leading U.S. provider of High Performance Electronic Health Records Solutions is pleased to announce our new electronic practice building patient monitoring software available beginning June 2015. The new software is designed to streamline identifying patients with missed appointments that must be seen for their chronic conditions. In addition the software enables users with the technology to query data on all patients in the clinic. For example a user can request the MD Logic software to identify all patients over the age of 50 that have hypertension and diabetes which is being controlled by specific medications. The market may have introduced a new medication that would offer better control of the disease with fewer side effects. These patients are immediately identified and displayed on the screen.
Another example may be for patients that have had a specific surgery that require annual follow-ups to ensure the overall best outcome for the patient. Once these patients are identified the MD Logic software simplifies communicating with these patients. The MD Logic user can quickly generate a request for these patients to contact the clinic to schedule a follow up appointment. The communication is immediately sent by email to the patients on the list. If the patient is identified as not having an email address on file then the user can simply touch the patient name listed on the screen and the MD Logic software will allow the email address to be updated. The user can also use the list to place a follow up call to the patient to schedule the appointment.
Using the new MD Logic electronic practice building patient monitoring software will ensure all patients are identified when they fail to comply with the practice standards. This new software will ensure that physicians, PAs, NPs and PTs are always busy with patient appointments and that no patients that need to be seen are missed. It offers an efficient way to query the patient base and inform patients of new procedures, medications and technology now available in healthcare.
