Telehealth - Coming Soon to MD Logic

Prior to COVID-19, Telehealth was not utilized by healthcare providers since the majority of insurance companies would not reimburse for telehealth services.

That all changed with COVID-19 as healthcare providers were forced to offer virtual visits for their patients. Physicians turned to companies such as Zoom and Facetime to provide the face-to-face patient interaction. The telehealth visit does not replace the quality of an in-office visit as with telehealth there is no hands-on patient examination. The hands-on examination is essential when making patient diagnosis.

At the January 2020 MD Logic Kick off Meeting, the decision was made to develop an integrated telehealth software with the New MD Logic Software under development. This decision was planned well before the COVID-19 outbreak as MD Logic was planning for the future. The MD Logic Telehealth Software will be fully integrated with the MD Logic EHR Software. This will allow MD Logic providers to view the patient and document patient care all on the same screen. The MD Logic Telehealth / Document Care integration will be available in the summer of 2021.
