MD Logic was pleased to officially introduce our smart phone apps at the recent MD Logic EHR User Conference. The new MD Logic smart phone apps have been designed to make navigating and accessing patient health data both fast and efficient.
When a patient calls after hours the doctor, PA, NP, RN or PT can easily access their patient’s health records with the touch of a button on their smart phone. Accessing recent diagnosis, problem lists, medications, lab results, progress notes and any other pertinent information on demand gives MD Logic customers the data they need to make clinical decisions. Currently these apps are available for iPhones and smart phones running the Android operating system.
Tim McKenna, VP of Sales for MD Logic, stated “the recent MD Logic EHR User conference was focused on Meaningful Use Stage II requirements. As the premier provider of high performance EHR systems, MD Logic goes above and beyond to ensure we are providing our customers with the latest in technology that is combined with speed and efficiency. None of our customers really wanted to hear about Meaningful Use Stage II requirements but the fact is that Meaningful Use Stage II is here to stay and healthcare providers must learn to live with it. Our team introduced our smart phone apps during the afternoon of Day One to a roar of applause by our customers. The new smart phone apps really got everyone excited since these new apps were designed to make their lives easier and much more efficient. It was a great way to break the tension from all the Meaningful Use Stage II requirements.
“Prior to the introduction of the smart phone apps to the audience, our team chose an ENT physician customer to load and demonstrate the latest MD Logic software apps. One of our support team members spent 10 minutes going over the app with the customer. During the introduction of the MD Logic App on stage, the audience was told about how one doctor in the audience was given the app just 30 minutes ago.
"Then our support team linked the technology so that the audience could see the doctor’s phone on the large screens on stage. From there the doctor took over and began to demonstrate just how easily he could access his patient’s health records via his iPhone. He even took his iPhone, turned to his wife sitting next to him and said “smile honey”, took her photo and then updated her photo in the patient chart for the audience to see. He kept saying to the audience “really, I just received the smart app and it is so simple to use”. Seeing the excitement of our customers was absolutely priceless. I can speak for the entire company in saying that the new MD Logic smart phone apps will add a new level of communication between the physician, the office and their patients.”
