In April 2010, Apple released the first touchscreen iPad. The release of the iPad transitioned MD Logic clients into adopting a wireless iPad to access the MD Logic EHR Software and document care in the clinic. Carrying the iPad replaced carrying a paper chart in clinic. In October 2012, Microsoft released the first version of the Microsoft Surface tablet. These new touchscreen tablets offered an option to the iPad for MD Logic Clients. After the release of the Surface Tablets, other technology companies began to manufacturer touch screen tablets reducing the cost of touchscreen tablets. As touchscreen technology has advanced, MD Logic customers have been able to utilize the latest touchscreen technology with the MD Logic EHR Software.
