Scottsdale Hand Surgery Group Selects MD Logic World Wide EMR - "Real Time" Documentation in Exam was Imperative

31 July 2007

After careful review of EMRs in the market, Gary Adler, M.D. chose to implement the MD Logic World Wide EMR for his Orthopaedic Hand Surgery Practice. Dr. Adler has been practicing Hand Surgery for over 20 years in Scottsdale, Arizona. His center provides total management of patient care for the hand by physicians who are Board Certified and Fellowship trained.

Dr. Adler stated, "I have been reviewing EMR systems for the past few years but found most of these systems to be drop-down / pick list systems. I wanted a system that was fast, flexible and easy to use. My goal was to implement technology that would save me time and allow me to document care "real time" in the exam room. I visited the MD Logic booth at the Annual Society of Hand Surgeons meeting in September 2006 and completed and hands-on demonstration. I knew right away that I had finally found a system that was right for my practice. I have flat panel touch screen monitors in all my exam rooms and document care real time as I provide patient care. There is no mouse required and I simply touch the screen with my finger. I know many practices that have gone paperless but most still dictate. My practice is paperless and we have automated our clinical documentation. I would recommend MD Logic to any provider who wants to implement an EMR that will save time."
