MD Logic to Support ICD10 and ICD9

30 March 2015

MD Logic, the leading U.S. provider of High Performance Electronic Health Records Solutions, will release the companies ICD-10 module in May 2015. The ICD-10 module was initially released during the MD Logic EHR User Conference held in June 2014 in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to the 2014 EHR User Conference the federal government announced the delay of ICD-10 to October 2015. The initial date was scheduled for October 2014.

Thomas J. Bierster, Jr., Chief Executive Officer for MD Logic, stated “we are going to support both ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes moving forward. Even with the new mandates there may be a reason for a doctor to utilize ICD-9 codes for reimbursement and we need to ensure our customers have the ability to choose between ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes. We have designed the ICD-10 module to work in the same workflow as the ICD9 module. With our innovative ICD-10 software our customers will be in control and not be forced to use those drop-down pick lists when selecting diagnosis using ICD-10. Continuing to offer the fastest EHR in the industry along with the best support has always been our mission as a company.”
